Like all small organizations we continue to push our financial resources. The foundation must often make difficult decisions about which programs to pursue due to financial constraints. There are many things that we could do more effectively, if more funding was available. These donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Here are a few ways to give to the foundation:
Memorial -- Instead of buying flowers, you can make a donation to F.I.R.S.T. in memory of someone who has passed away. The foundation will immediately mail a memorial card to the family of the deceased letting them know a donation was made by you in memory of their loved one. To make a memorial donation, click the "Make a Donation" button on the second page of the form link below, then click the second option "Tribute Gift" and complete the information.
Honor -- Instead of buying a card at the store, you can make a donation to F.I.R.S.T. in honor of someone. Examples of this are birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, new home, birth of a child, etc. The foundation will immediately mail an honor card to the individual or family letting them know a donation was made by you in their honor.To make an honor donation, click the "Make a Donation" button on the second page of the form link below, then click the second option "Tribute Gift" and complete the information.
General Donation -- The foundation would greatly appreciate a general donation from you at any time. F.I.R.S.T. can always use a general cash gift to help fund its many programs and services. Check to see if your employer has a matching gift program so the donation can be doubled.
Planned Giving -- Giving is, of course, much more than tax brackets and charitable deductions. Your charitable gifts make an important difference in what we are able to accomplish. There are many ways to donate through planned giving. Gifts of stock, real estate, life income gifts, gifts of life insurance, charitable lead trusts and bequests are great ways to support the foundation.
