Conferences
The Foundation for Ichthyosis & Related Skin Types, Inc. (F.I.R.S.T.) hosts a family conference every two years. This event is open to all members of the Foundation. Traditionally the location for the conference moves across the country each time the conference is held.

Members of F.I.R.S.T. come from all over the world to attend this three-day event. F.I.R.S.T. provides lectures by leading physicians about ichthyosis, open discussion groups and child care activities. It is a chance for people affected by ichthyosis to meet others who share similar life experiences and related issues. The friendships that are formed at the conferences last a lifetime!
